The Kraken Awakens in NetEnt’s Brand New Ocean’s Treasure Video Slot
NetEnt’s animated 3D slot Ocean’s Treasure takes players into an Atlantis-inspired deep-sea setting, with the legendary Kraken among its themes. The game features 5 reels and 15 pay lines.
The route through this underwater game runs past the Kraken, guardian of the hidden treasure. Its free spins feature brings multipliers, further free spins, wild symbols and a bonus payout worth 100x the spin bet.
Landing 3 scatter symbols prompts the Kraken to release 10 free spins, each with a default x3 multiplier on wins. A wild symbol landing during the feature raises the multiplier level.
Wilds provide another benefit during the bonus round.
Each wild that appears raises the multiplier level and adds two free spins to the remaining total, extending the chance to make use of the bonus feature.
Collect four wild symbols during the free spins bonus to advance to the highest tier, level 5, where x12 multipliers apply to every winning combination. Reaching level 5 also awards an automatic prize of 1,500 coins.
The free spins feature has 5 levels in total:
- Level 1 provides x3 multipliers
- Level 2 provides x5 multipliers
- Level 3 provides x7 multipliers
- Level 4 provides x9 multipliers
- Level 5 provides x12 multipliers
Before scatters trigger the Kraken’s release of free spins, the base game uses 8 standard symbols. Stacked wilds can roll across the reels in sets of 3, while the top-paying symbol can award a 1,500-coin payout.
Ocean’s Treasure pairs energetic play with vivid underwater animation and a series of features designed to build anticipation. The review describes it as an example of NetEnt combining an immersive setting and action-led features with straightforward slot mechanics.
Spin wagers range from 0.15 to a maximum of 300.00. The game includes autoplay, quick spins, spacebar spinning and sound controls. Its straightforward betting interface lets players use coins or cash by adjusting the ‘coin value’.
Ocean’s Treasure was reported as available at NetEnt casinos for smartphone, tablet and desktop play. The release followed other NetEnt Slots from that February, including Rise of Maya and a new version of Secret of the Stones. The article also anticipated King of 3 kingdoms, an Asian-themed game scheduled for release at February’s end, as the fourth of 4 new NetEnt video slots that month.
