Pure Platinum online slot review
Pure Platinum is a video slot built around many opportunities to form wins. Stacked Wilds and a Free Spins bonus game are presented as ways to increase your bankroll, with up to 50 Free Spins and multipliers of 1x, 2x and 5x available. These features may extend a session, but neither bankroll growth nor a win is guaranteed. Players who prefer slots with plenty of Free Spins may find this format appealing.
Theme and storyline
Microgaming created Pure Platinum around platinum, described here as the most precious metal in the world. The review states that the jackpot pays 1,000x your wager and highlights a bonus feature offering up to 50 free spins with a 5x multiplier.
Graphics, sound and animation
Platinum is one of the most precious metals in the world, and Pure Platinum reflects that focus. The 3D slot uses colourful, sharp and polished graphics, with symbols gleaming as they spin against the background. Its easy-listening soundtrack is paired with sound effects that add excitement when winning combinations appear. Released in 2013, Pure Platinum is a well-rounded slot with the expected elements in place. Microgaming has returned to the platinum concept with a design built around shine, sparkle, extravagance, wealth and wins.
Top Casinos to Play Pure Platinum:
Gameplay
Pure Platinum has 5 reels and 40 adjustable pay lines. Its logo acts as the Wild symbol, replacing any other symbol to form winning pay-lines. Landing 5 Wilds on the same active pay lines awards 1000 coins. The Scatter is a platinum record, and 3 or more on the screen activates the Free Spins round. If 5 Scatters land, the payout is 100 times your bet; with maximum bets, wins can reach 40,000 coins.
The remaining symbols are high-end merchandise suited to the Platinum theme. At the upper end of the paytable are a diamond ring, a designer wristwatch and two types of gold bullions. The lower-value shiny playing cards have also been styled to fit the platinum setting.
Playing-card symbols pay x5 through x200 for three, four or five of a kind, while the other platinum symbols award a maximum of x750 when five appear on a line.
The slot also includes a gamble option after every winning spin. You can risk the win by guessing the card colour correctly to double the payout, or identify the card suit correctly to quadruple it.
Bonuses and Free Spins
Gamble Feature: Once your Free Spins end, you enter a separate bonus game and must guess the colour of a playing card. A correct colour guess doubles your wins. To quadruple them, guess the card’s suit; if that guess is right, you receive four times your prize. The risk is substantial: a correct guess wins, but a wrong one loses the entire payout.
Stacked Wilds: As noted above, the Pure Platinum logo is the Wild, and this game can display stacked Wilds. When Wilds are stacked across most of the reels, the layout may support increased payouts.
Jackpot: Pure Platinum includes a non-progressive jackpot feature, with wins described as multiplied by 100x. The review says that when five Scatters land on the screen, the payout is 2000.00; this described condition is not a guarantee of a result.
Bet sizes, RTP and variance
The maximum wager per line is 10 coins, with three coin denominations available: 0.01, 0.02 and 0.05. Covering every line requires a minimum bet of 0.40, while the maximum bet is 20.00. You can select all 40 pay lines, or adjust the number in play. The review suggests that activating every line provides the most intense experience, and lists a maximum payout of 40,000 coins.
The Return to Player rate is 96.47%, which described as above average, and the slot has low volatility. The review presents that combination as suitable for players with a limited budget who want longer sessions and plenty of wins; however, RTP and low volatility cannot promise either duration or winning results.
Conclusion
Microgaming’s Pure Platinum is a luxury-themed slot with straightforward gameplay and reward-focused features. The review praises its sharp graphics, theme-fitting soundtrack and bonus elements, presenting it as an entertaining option for extended play rather than promising hours of wins.
