Riviera Riches online slot game
In this GCCans review, Evan Carrington looks back at Riviera Riches, a slot built around the atmosphere of an upscale casino. Although the game first launched in 2011, it is described as retaining the lively, engaging character associated with Microgaming’s catalogue.
Theme and storyline
Wilds, Scatters, a touch of Vegas and a Roulette Bonus Game give Riviera Riches its casino appeal. It may be one of the older Microgaming Slots: Features, RTP and Jackpot Games, yet the original review considers it capable of competing with newer multi reel video slot games.
Graphics, sounds and animations
The brightly coloured reels are a central part of Riviera Riches’ visual appeal. Watching them turn and seeing the round unfold can be absorbing, while the overall presentation is enjoyable and easy on the eyes. The slot does not include animations.
Top Casinos to Play Riviera Riches:
Gameplay
Riviera Riches uses 5 reels and 15 pay lines, with wins paid from left to right. Spins begin at 0.01, making the game suitable for players who like extended reel sessions. Those wanting to stake more can raise the amount to a maximum of 150.00 per spin.
The symbols include a brandy snifter, a cigar, casino chips, a vintage automobile, a grand hotel, plus a glamorous woman and man. Land three men on the reels for 73 coins, while three women pay 50 coins. Three Grand Hotel symbols award 40 coins; three vintage cars award 35, and three brandies pay 30 coins. Playing cards sit at the lower end of the table, with three in a row returning about 12 coins on average.
The Riviera Riches symbol acts as the Wild, paying 50 coins for two of a kind and 1500 coins for five of a kind while doubling wins. It substitutes for every other symbol apart from the Scatter, helping to complete winning combinations.
Aside from the lower-paying playing-card symbols running from 10 to Ace, the remaining icons all reflect a millionaire’s lifestyle.
Riviera Riches includes a jackpot of 1,500 coins and two bonus features. Its Free Spins round supplies 12 free spins with a 3x multiplier. Players can set the wager by choosing from 1 to 15 pay lines and from 1 to 20 coins. The coin value runs from 0.01 to 2.00.
The game’s adjustable settings suit players who like to alter the stake or payline selection, mute the sound, or let the machine run automatically for a few rounds. Riviera Riches does not include an auto-play button, but it can show the player’s credit balance and provides a sound-off option.
Bonuses and free spins
Roulette bonus game: When the Bonus trigger symbol appears on reels 1 and 5, the feature begins. It provides two spins on a Roulette wheel and allows multipliers to be collected on the bet. Choose a number from 1 to 36 on the Roulette Table, then spin the Roulette Wheel; a hit on the selected number can pay up to 30,000 coins. The original description says the feature cannot lose because it includes a guaranteed extra win with a 4x multiplier. That wording describes the game feature, not a guarantee of profit or any particular overall result.
Free Spins: Landing three or more money Scatters anywhere on the reels activates the Free Spins round. Every prize is tripled during the feature through a 3x multiplier, and the round can be re-triggered. The Roulette Bonus Game may also activate during Free Spins, allowing both features to operate at the same time.
Bet sizes, RTP and variance
Microgaming slots, as described by Evan Carrington for GCCans, use straightforward controls and offer settings to adjust during play. Select the pay-line count and coin size, choose a stake, and press spin to start. Riviera Riches is presented as low-medium volatility, with a Return to Player rate of 96.51%, which the review regarded favourably for this video slot.
Conclusion
The review’s overall impression is that the payouts, bright visuals and VIP-inspired theme give the game plenty of character. Combining a slot with Roulette adds another layer to the presentation, bringing two familiar casino formats together in one Riviera Riches experience.
