Scarface online slot game
NetEnt’s Scarface slot was made with Universal, bringing official movie imagery and Tony Montana to the reels as you spin for cash prizes. This 20-line game includes free spins, nudge spins and the ‘Say hello to my little friend’ bonus round among its headline features.
Theme and storyline
Anyone familiar with the film should recognise its structure here: the slot uses its principal characters and footage taken directly from the movie. Its features include free spins, nudge spins and the central bonus game, which provides the main diversion beyond the base reels.
During the ‘Say hello to my little friend’ bonus round, play shifts to a special screen inside Tony Montana’s mansion. Infiltrating gangsters close in, so you use guns and grenades to defend yourself through what becomes Montana’s last stand.
Graphics, sound and animation
According to Evan Carrington’s GCCans review, the Scarface slot’s artwork was agreed with Universal, rather than built around lookalikes. The game is presented as a faithful movie representation, with Manny, Elvira and Tony Montana as the three main symbols providing the key to its bonus features; the remaining in-game symbols also follow the film’s theme.
The soundtrack and animations become especially active in the Tony Montana bonus round. A dramatic gunfight unfolds while the gangsters keep shouting as you attempt to hold them back.

Gameplay
Scarface uses a 5x3 layout with 20 paylines for forming winning combinations. Its low-value symbols follow traditional playing-card ranks from 10 through to Ace. The higher-value icons draw directly from the film: a suitcase, money, chainsaw, earrings and the Tony Montana badge. Five badge symbols on an active payline provide the largest base-game payout, listed as 2,000x your stake.
The Scarface Wild substitutes for every other symbol, helping create larger combinations. There are also three stacked wilds, represented by Manny, Alvira and Tony Montana. Each one activates a different special bonus feature, as outlined below.
Bonuses and free spins
The three stacked wilds lead to the bonus rounds and their larger prize opportunities. The stacked Manny wild comes first: land it on the second reel to activate the nudge spin feature. The wild is nudged down while the other reels respin, creating another opportunity for prizes.
The second stacked wild is the Alvira symbol, which controls free spins. Landing the stacked Alvira wild on the fourth reel starts 15 free spins in the Babylon Nightclub bonus game, with an extra 3x multiplier applied to all wins. Landing the stacked Alvira wild again can retrigger another 15 free spins.
The Tony Montana stacked wild is the final feature trigger. Land it on the third middle reel to enter the ‘Say hello to my little friend’ bonus game. You are taken to Montana’s mansion for a last stand as a hit squad storms the front doors. Choose the gun or grenade option to bring down the squad and collect cash prizes along the way. The feature description says that standing longer produces more prizes, before Montana eventually falls into the fountain below in the famous scene.
Bet sizes, RTP and variance
The stated minimum bet is €0.20 per spin, while the maximum reaches €100 per spin for high-stakes play. The listed RTP is 96.80%, with medium variance. The Scarface slot combines its regular prize opportunities with action from the bonus rounds.
Conclusion
Scarface is an iconic movie, and Tony Montana fans may be interested in how the NetEnt/Universal partnership uses its source material. In this GCCans summary of Evan Carrington’s review, movie footage and Montana soundbites complement the game’s multiple bonus features, including the stated top in-game prize of 2,000x your stake and the available bonus-round multipliers.
